WILLIAM & MELVINA WINEINGER

William Wineinger was born February 7, 1856 in Hancock, Virginia to Johnny Wineinger and Louse Johnson.  Melvina Palmer was born October 10, 1867 in Gate City, Virginia (Scott County)  to Sam Palmer and Mary Falion. William and Melvin were married October 10, 1867 and they had six children John, Laura, Rosie, Myrtle, and twins Patton & Huey. William died April 10, 1946 and Melvina died September 24, 1963 and they are both buried in Forest Park Cemetery in Greenville, Texas.

 


1. John Lloyd. Wineinger- Born June 29, 1885 in Hancock County, Tennessee.  He was married to Maggie Williams over and they ten children Thelma (Vick), Alma (Lane), Jack, Fairy, John L Jr., Charles, Peggy, Ted and twins Gale and Dale. John died April 8, 1967 and Maggie died in 1991 they are buried at Fairview Cemetery, Denison, Texas.

2. Laura Wineinger Erwin- Born December 10, 1887 in Hancock County, Tennessee. She married Robert Gordon Erwin September 12, 1908 and they had six children  Lloyd, Loys(Frosty), Leo, Myrtle (Linstead), Ida Marie (Keeton), & Bobbie (Brown) . Laura died with cancer on April 1,1942 and is buried with her husband at Forest Park Cemetery in Greenville, Texas

3. Rosa Wineinger Erwin- Born January 2, 1890 in Hancock County, Tennessee.  She was married to William Garrett Erwin July 28, 1908 in Greenville. TX. They had three children  Jewell (Cole), Doyle and OZella (Watkins)  Rosa died  with throat cancer on October 19, 1981 and is buried with her husband at  Forest Park Cemetery Greenville, Texas.

4. Myrtle Wineinger-  Born in 1893 in Hancock County, Tennessee. She was married to Joe McGuffin and they had one daughter Mertle Lorene (Hefferline). Myrtle died in 1924 with TB and is buried at Forest Park Cemetery Greenville, Texas.

5. Pat Wineinger- Born March 2,1899 in Rogersville, Tennessee.  He was married to Rue Zimmerman on September 18,1920 and the had three children  Patsy (Landrum), Connie (White), Bille Joe Wineinger. Pat died from complication from surgery  January 6, 1980 and is buried with is wife at Forest Park Cemetery Greenville, Texas.

6. Huey Wineinger  Born March 2, 1899 in Rogersville, Tennessee. He was married to Hester Shelton  August 4,1918 and they had seven children Dewey, Ernest, Leon, Art, La Vern ( Lopez), Valton, and Joan (Combs). Huey died from a heart attack on February 27, 1968 and is buried with his wife at Forest Park Cemetery Greenville, Texas.
